Opening Affirmation
We welcome you to Unity in Chicago this morning knowing and affirming together that no one is here by accident or coincidence. Each of us is an essential part of the spiritual energy that is Unity in Chicago at this moment.
We come together to affirm and celebrate our Unity -- our oneness -- with each other, and with God. In that spirit of unity, let us pause now, as we do each week, to enfold in Light and Love all churches and spiritual gatherings, of all faiths and denominations, meeting throughout Chicago and around the world.
In Unity we bless and embrace people of every race, culture, lifestyle and creed. We honor and celebrate the many paths to God, the many names for God, the many ways in which to worship God. For we know that God, as Light and Love, expresses equally on every path.
And especially, we give thanks to the Presence of God within each of us for our ever-increasing acceptance and expression of the Truth of our Unity.
