Unity in Chicago is committed to the spiritual development and education of our community. Discover powerful tools and spiritual principles that help you meet and overcome the challenges in your life. Expand and deepen your awareness of God and Unity teachings by focusing on subjects such as prayer, biblical and metaphysical studies, and a rich exploration of Unity’s history and development. Throughout the year, we offer a wide variety of classes for you, and we hope that you will take advantage of them. In all cases, we need advance registration to ensure that the instructor can properly prepare. If you have any questions about our class offerings, please email Rev. Erica Trantham. Frequently Asked Questions
*What is a love offering for a class?
As a tradition, Unity has always offered classes on a love offering basis. You are encouraged to give at each class whatever you choose, and know that we use these donations to help defray the costs of the class and to pay the instructor. You are encouraged to consider what value a class has given you to help you determine an appropriate offering.
**What is SEE Credit?
Unity is one of the few religious movements that offers a defined course of study for our lay persons. The SEE Program (Spiritual Education and Enrichment) is a robust course of study covering four main areas of education (Biblical Studies, Metaphysical Studies, Prayer Studies, and Interdepartmental Studies) that you can choose to participate which can lead to either a Licensed Unity Teacher Certification, Leadership Development or eventually to the Ministerial Path. Each class that we offer at Unity in Chicago will be clearly identified as either an SEE course or an SEE elective course. For a complete list of classes, questions about SEE credit or questions about the Licensed Unity Teacher program, please contact Rev. Erica Trantham.
