Our life’s most painful problems are, in truth, powerful spiritual growth opportunities that arise from grief, conflict, pain, confusion and the desire to be more loving when life situations demand it. Life problems raise the big questions and they call for new solutions. They are opportunities to garner support from compassionate sources.

Spiritual counseling at Unity in Chicago offers professional guidance toward growth. It offers trained counseling that can include referrals to other specialist professionals when needed. Most of all, it offers a loving ear and a place between you and your spiritual counselor to hear God’s word for you and to discuss its meaning in privacy and safety.

To take the step into spiritual counseling is to move into the realm of greater peace and renewal and to transform suffering to a greater joy. Most people who participate in spiritual counseling find that they experience shifts in perspective that ease their minds and empower their spirits through the love of God.

PROVIDED BY A COMPASSIONATE PROFESSIONAL

Rev. Sandy Diamond has been endorsed by Rev. Erica as our community’s spiritual counselor. Rev. Sandy brings licensed and ordained training in Unity principles and a solid grounding in Jungian analysis. Rev. Sandy is frequently described as intelligent, gentle, kind, humorous and skillful. She is a compassionate professional who can work with you in two ways:

1. Spiritual counseling.
   Generally in three to five sessions you can discuss your challenge with Rev. Sandy and find an avenue to transform it into a specific growth opportunity by understanding Spirit’s direction and loving will for you.
2. Spiritual Coaching
   Ongoing (once per month) sessions in which Rev. Sandy helps you to become proactive in learning to discover spiritual solutions to human difficulties in your daily life.

In spiritual counseling and coaching, your feelings will be both honored and accepted. You can expect loving support and reliable Unity centered guidance, regardless of what you discuss. Rev. Sandy embraces a universal approach to spiritual issues so that no matter what your spiritual background, you will be able to explore the wisdom of God’s truth in dialog with her.

Access Rev. Sandy Diamond and Unity in Chicago spiritual counseling in two ways:

1. Call the Unity in Chicago Office at (773) 973-0007 and ask for a confidential appt.
2. Sign up at the Welcome Zone on Sundays for an appointment and our receptionist will contact you to arrange a time suitable to your needs.

There are no set fees for this service but Rev. Sandy suggests a $50.00 love offering per one hour session.
