Rev. Erica Trantham

Reverend Erica Trantham describes her services: “A musical, fun-filled celebration of our innate goodness and the joy of life. Our thinking creates our reality…that a life of joy, prosperity, health and success is our natural birthright.”

The road this charismatic, funny and thought-provoking minister traveled becomes part of her spiritual journey. Trantham holds two degrees and has a background in theatre, as well as, entertainment law. She began her career teaching high school English, drama and communications. Erica worked 12 years with the original programming department of Home Box Office (HBO) in New York City.

While in New York, Trantham found her own light on the boards. She produced and performed in over two-dozen theatres and venues. Erica was also a 17-year member of Dr. Eric Butterworth’s congregation at Lincoln Center. Butterworth’s book “Discover the Power Within You” is one that Oprah Winfrey credits with changing her life. Butterworth also inspired Trantham to explore her faith and to find deeper meaning in her life and career.

Before entering Unity’s ministerial education program, Trantham was ordained in interfaith ministry through the New Seminary in NYC. She then graduated from the Unity School for Religious Studies at Unity Village, MO. Reverend Erica was the minister at the Unity Church in Harrisburg, PA from 2000 to 2004.

The Reverend says, “By using skills and tools of the performing arts, we can team-collaborate worship and services that create an experience in which the Christ consciousness births wisdom and guidance in all individuals, as well as in the collective consciousness.” “If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you…it will destroy you” from the Gospel of Thomas is Erica’s most meaningful life-guiding scripture.
