Lama Surya Das
"The Lama of the West"
Lama Surya Das has spent more than 30 years studying with the great spiritual masters of Asia, including 15 in India and the Himalayas and eight years in a cloistered Tibetan retreat. He is a leading spokesman for Buddhism and contemporary spirituality, as well as a poet, translator, spiritual teacher, and a lama in the Tibetan Buddhist order. Surya is the author of several books, including the national best-seller Awakening the Buddha Within: Tibetan Wisdom for the Modern World, and is active in interfaith dialogue.
Surya Das has been featured in numerous publications
and major media, including ABC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, The Boston Globe, Boston Herald,
New York Post, Long Island Newsday, Long Island Business Journal, San Francisco Chronicle,
Los Angeles Times, The Jewish Free Press, New Age Journal, Tricycle Magazine, Yoga
Journal, The Oregonian, and has been the subject of a seven minute magazine story on CNN.
One segment of the ABC-TV sitcom Dharma & Greg was based on his life ("Leonard’s Return").

Rabbi Joseph P. Schultz
Kabbalah Theologian
Joseph P. Schultz is a rabbi and Oppenstein Brothers Distinguished Professor of Judaic Studies, Emeritus and Director of the Center for Religious Studies, Emeritus at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has taught at the Unity Ministerial School and at other theological schools and universities. He is the author of a number of books as well as articles. He has just completed a book on the Kabbalah entitled:The Kabbalistic Journey-From Religion to Spirituality to Mysticism. Rabbi Schultz, his wife and family have been engaged in the study of Kabbalah and in meditation and mystical practice for over thirty years.

Coleman Barks is the author of numerous Rumi translations and has been a student of Sufism since 1977. His work with Rumi was the subject of an hour-long segment in Bill Moyers's Language of Life series on PBS, and he is a featured poet and translator in Bill Moyers's poetry special, Fooling with Words.
