Our Mission

is to create opportunities for us to act together, as a community, and sometimes in concert with other faith communities, to create positive change in the world, to move society forward. We are motivated to do this because:

• Engagement in the world is a more hopeful way to live.
• Activism is the opposite of cynicism.
• Participation liberates us from isolation and self involvement.

When we band together in action, we create an alternative to hopelessness and often tap creative parts of ourselves that can open us up, personally and as a group, to fresh possibilities. Creating a menu of options for activism helps Unity members explore together, concepts of personal power, responsibility, abundance, stewardship, simplicity and inter-connectedness.
