2004 Y.O.U. Subregional Rally

Unity in Chicago was proud to host the 2004 Y.O.U. Subregional Rally on April 23-25. Planned with Fox Valley Unity, the event was entitled Pictures in the Sand, which is a reference to the sand mandalas created by Tibetan Buddhist monks. This theme and the sub-regional program explored concepts of materialism and impermanence, especially how our American culture values the external and materialistic to the exclusion of internal and spiritual connection and growth. The program consisted of speakers, small group breakouts for discussion, fellowship and social activities, and a Saturday night dance.
